We are excited to welcome Tommy Sharky to the project.  He will lead the prototyping of the Embodied Coding Platform.  He is a trans-disciplinary designer, developer, artist, and researcher investigating 3 dimensional space and its ability to enable human endeavors and promote socially responsible and ecologically sound systems of the future. This takes the form of Augmented (Mixed) Reality design and development primarily for the Microsoft HoloLens, primarily in the space of Healthcare. He is currently working on a PhD in Computer Science (Human-Computer Interaction) through the Human-Centered and Ubiquitous Computing Lab at UC San Diego with Dr. Nadir Weibel.

He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Speculative Design (emphasis in computing) from UC San Diego. Speculative design is a field which considers social, political, and technological systems of the future – creating designs, critical designs, and design fictions around those systems to promote positive change and avoid negative change. It covers a range of topics including Urban Planning, Artificial Intelligence, Computing and the Arts, Architecture, and more.
